Electromagnetic radiation causes damages to our life. It affects the normal operation of different electrical equipment, causes problems in national politics, economy and military security, and harms the health of human beings and wildlife.
The materials for blocking electromagnetic radiation currently are shielding coating, electromagnetic interference gasket, plastic protective cover, shielding glass, shielding fabrics, etc. And the shielding coating plays the major role.
As the electromagnetic radiation is more common in our daily life, more attention is paid to research and development on shielding fabrics. The research was started from 1930s. In 1980s, the radiation protective clothes were popular.
There are three types of shielding fabrics.
There is a variety of conductive fillers. It divides into metal filler and carbon filler.
Metal filler contains silver, copper, aluminum, iron, iron-nickel alloy.
Carbon filler contains carbon fiber, cnt, carbon black, etc.
It includes conductive coating and metal layered material.
The conductive coating refers to silver coating, copper coating, nickel coating and carbon coating.
The metal layer is achieved by melting and spraying, plating, and attaching.
This means that the metallic fiber and textile fiber are hybrid to yarn and then spinned to fabric. In this way, the fabric is soft and tensile with excellent conductivity and shielding function.
