Lyocell cotton is lyocell fiber blended with cotton to make the blended fabric. This fabric can be woven or knitted.

The two fibers complement each other: lyocell contributes a smooth, silky hand, beautiful drape and strong moisture management, while cotton adds structure, matte softness and day-to-day durability. The fabric is soft, breathable and moisture wicking.

Common blends run around 50/50 or 60/40 lyocell to cotton, especially in t-shirts, shirts and bed linens.

Lyocell and lyocell-cotton blends show up most often in:

- T-shirts, blouses and dresses where a silky drape is wanted.

- Denim and jeans — lyocell denim breathes and moves more than rigid cotton denim.

- Bed sheets and pillowcases, prized for a cool, smooth sleep surface.

- Underwear, activewear and loungewear thanks to moisture management and softness.
