Which fabric is most antibacterial?

There are many antibacterial fabrics in supply. They can be classified to two categories. One is fabrics with antibacterial finish and the other is naturally antimicrobial. 


Natural Antibacterial Fabric

The current natural antibacterial fabric are hemp fabric, bamboo fabric, seaweed fabric, chitin fabric, silver fabric, copper ion fabric. Among these bio-based fabrics, the plant fibers are hemp, bamboo and seaweed. Chitin fiber is extracted from shells of crabs and shrimps. Silver fiber and copper ion fiber are metal fibers.

Seaweed fiber and chitin fiber are more commonly used in medical dressing. They have a more excellent antimicrobial performance.
