In the first quarter of 2022, the clothing exportation from Africa exceeds usd $2 billion. And it dropped a little to usd $1.95 billion in the second quarter.
In 2020, the clothing exportation from Africa was down to usd $764 million in the second quarter due to the pandemic. And it reached usd $1.66 billion in the third quarter and usd $1.59 billion in the fourth quarter.
In the year of 2021, the exportation in the first quarter was usd $1.67 billion, and usd $1.7 billion in the second, usd $1.92 billion in the third, and usd $1.98 billion in the fourth quarter.
All these data shows that the exportation in Africa is increasing.
According to TexPro, the total exportation of clothing in Africa was usd $6.56 billion in 2019, usd $5.4 billion in 2020, usd $7.29 billion in 2021.
Experts from the summit in New Dehli say that Africa is becoming the new center of textile manufacturing.
