Acid wash is a special fabric fading and distressing treatment widely used on denim clothes.
It uses chemical agents to corrode the fabric surface, removing part of the dye. The finished cloth features uneven pale white mottled marks and a retro worn look.
This technique makes garments look vintage and casual. It also softens fabric texture and reduces stiffness. Jeans, jackets and shorts are the most common acid-washed clothing styles. And it is now widely used on cotton fabrics to make t shirts or hoodies. The texture of the washed cotton fabric is very soft.
